INJOY Assistant FAQ

Q. How does the INJOY Assistant membership work?
INJOY Assistants provide steady, part-time household support built around the school year. You’ll be matched with a trained, reliable assistant who visits your home once a week for four hours to handle the household tasks you choose — from laundry and tidying to meal prep, organizing and more.

Q. What months are included in the membership?
Your membership runs alongside your county’s school year (August–May) and automatically pauses during Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks. Summer service packages may be available for families wanting year-round support — stay tuned!
 
Q. What if I join mid-year?
Families who join during an open enrollment period (like November) will receive a prorated rate for the remainder of the school year.
 
Q. Will I have the same assistant every week?
Yes! Your assigned assistant is your person — she’ll get to know your home, your routines, and how you like things done.
 

Q. What if I love my assistant and want to keep her next year?

That makes us happy! Families who renew their membership during the annual enrollment window get first priority to keep their same assistant. We know having someone in your home is personal, and over time, they often become a trusted part of your household. Whenever possible, we do our best to accommodate continuing that client–assistant relationship.
 
Q. What kinds of tasks can my assistant help with?
Each visit flexes to fit your family’s priorities. Assistants can help with tidying, laundry, dishes, organizing, meal prep, errands, light housekeeping, swapping seasonal clothes, and more. (We don’t provide childcare, deep cleaning, or pet care.) Simply leave a to-do list with your top priorities and your assistant will work down the list.
 
Q. What’s included in the errands bundle?
If you choose the errands bundle, your assistant can handle errands within a 20-mile round trip — like grocery pickups, returns, or dropping things at the post office. Some neighborhoods receive an extended mileage allowance at a slightly higher rate.

Q. Can I request extra service days during school breaks?
Yes! Based on assistant availability, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request so you feel supported during busy seasons, holidays, or special occasions. Quoted rates apply for services outside the standard school-year schedule.
 

Q. How are INJOY Assistants vetted and trained?

All INJOY Assistants are W-2 employees who complete a thorough screening process, including nationwide background checks and reference verification. Each assistant also completes INJOY’s pre-employment training on service standards, communication, and professionalism before being matched with a family.
 

Q. What happens if my assistant is out or sick?
This is the beauty of hiring moms around the school year — moments like this should be few and far between. However, if your assistant can’t make it, INJOY will do our best to send a qualified substitute. If a sub cannot be scheduled, after the first miss we’ll credit your account for a makeup shift based on availability.
 
Q. What if I need to skip a week?
Membership covers the full school year, so weekly visits aren’t rescheduled or refunded if you choose to skip.
 
Q. How much does it cost?
Memberships for the 2025-2026 school year start at $6,250 or $7,000 with errands included. All memberships include a one-time $99 joining fee. Pricing may vary slightly based on your household size and distance from the nearest shopping area.
 
Q. How do I get started?
Submit your intake form during open enrollment! Once you’re matched, you’ll receive your Membership Agreement and payment link to secure your spot. Spots are limited, so don’t wait too long — matching begins as forms come in.
